Passed the kyu grading with heart and passion

Sunday, 9:00 am: Teenagers and adults

Kick-off in the new dojo! On Sunday, 08 May, things started at 9:00 am for the teenagers and adults. After the past weeks of training preparation, the students from Shinzen Dojo in Schöneberg wanted to show what their Sempais had taught and shown them.

Die Säulen des Kyokushin Karate

The grading began traditionally at an introductory level up to brown belt level. Over the course of more than 3 hours, the students had to prove their techniques and go through all the pillars of Kyokushin Karate.

From Kihon (basics), Kata (form movements) to Kumite (freestyle fighting), all techniques were tested and properly adhered to.

For a karate dojo which practices the Kyokushin Karate style, it is important to us that our students learn the pillars of Kyokushin Karate at the beginning of their martial arts career before diving into the next level.

"The foundation is the basis of the basics"

Highlights of the kyu grading

Paul Kniep from Leipzig came to Berlin for the 2nd time to be graded in Kyokushin Karate at the Shinzen Dojo of the IKO World-Zen Kyokushin Germany. He underwent the 2nd brown belt grading and had to survive 10 rounds of kumite at the end. In 15 continuous minutes, he fought 5 rounds in turns at the beginning and then 5 rounds without a break against five fresh fighters.

He passed this Kyokushin Karate grading to the thunderous applause of the examinees!

Ein echter bzw. realer Kampf with Vollkontakt auf fairem, sportlichen and respektvollen Niveau. Dafür stehen wir im Shinzen Dojo.
