Christmas greetings 2019

Dear friends of the Shinzen Dojo,

thank you for a successful year 2019. The Shinzen Dojo, which translated from Japanese (shinzen; jp.: 親善) means friendship in German, is growing and thriving. After the split in late summer from the Shimai Dojo, war es mir wichtig, dass ein modernes Dojo nur auf Fundamenten von einer guter Freundschaft und einer gelebten Philosophy entstehen kann. Values of a friendship: F = FIRM R = ADVISING

E = EMPATHETIC

U = SUPPORTIVE

N = INDULGENT

D = THANKFUL S = KINSHIP

C = CHARACTERFUL H = HEARTFELT A = ENCOURAGING F = FAIR T = LOYAL This Values of a friendship should in future be firmly integrated into the teaching method of karate training alongside physical training. A lived philosophy of the Japanese Dojo Oath (Dōjōkun; jap. 道場訓, dojo rules or rules for training the martial arts) more with:

  • Involvement: Motivated and committed parents, family members and students should be more involved in the dojo's activities - if they want to and have time
  • Support and help: The Shinzen Dojo is looking for a permanent training location in the long term where children, teenagers and adults can train in Berlin.(Note: We are not a registered association!). Deshalb wäre es optimal, wenn jemand etwas "bezahlbares" im Raum Steglitz vielleicht kennt oder weiterempfehlen könnte.
  • Equipment: The junior members need equipment! Whether it's training pads, helmets, or other aids. We rely on sponsors!
  • Sponsorship: Wer dem Shinzen Dojo gutes tun will und Sponsoring betreiben will, kann Sempai Anh Son Le jederzeit anschreiben - es gibt immer eine Möglichkeit dem Shinzen Dojo zu helfen! :-)

The Shinzen Dojo is built on these values and this philosophy. A dojo of ours for you.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents again who have been with me and their children since day 1, the new parents who are joining in with enthusiasm, and all the friends and acquaintances who always jump in to help. Their children are learning karate not just as a hobby, but as a long-term pursuit to feel healthy, confident, and safe - 100%!

My thanks also go to the teenagers and adults who make the effort every Tuesday evening to travel to Möckernstraße 111 to train karate with me. Many thanks!

In this spirit, I wish everyone a relaxing and peaceful Christmas season and an early happy New Year!
