Shinzen Dojo Berlin – A new path begins: Official incorporation as an e.V. (registered association).

Berlin-Charlottenburg. 12. August 2025 wurde ein Meilenstein in der Geschichte des Shinzen Dojo Berlin erreicht: Die notarielle Beurkundung zur Gründung des Shinzen Dojo Berlin e.V. Fand statt. Dieser Schritt markiert den Beginn einer neuen Ära für unser Dojo, in der wir als eingetragener Verein die Werte und die Lehre des Kyokushin Karate noch stärker in die Berliner Gemeinschaft tragen werden.

The path to becoming an e.V. – community and vision

The decision to officially register the association in the register of associations is the result of years of continuous development work, which began in 2016 with the first children's courses and continued in 2019 with the official opening of Shinzen Dojo Berlin for adults.

„Mit der Eintragung als e.V. schaffen wir nicht nur eine stabile rechtliche Grundlage, sondern auch eine Plattform für Wachstum, Förderung und Zusammenarbeit. Unser Ziel ist es, Kyokushin Karate in Berlin nicht nur zu trainieren, sondern zu leben.“ – Senpai Anh Son Le

Opportunities and goals of the association

The status as a registered association opens up new avenues:

  • Promotion of Kyokushin Karate for all age groups – from white belt to black belt.
  • Cooperation with schools, sports authorities and social institutions.
  • Organisation of tournaments, workshops and seminars with national and international trainers.
  • Sports funding for talented Karateka to specifically prepare them for competitions.
  • Cultural projects to convey Japanese martial arts tradition in Berlin.

"Kyokushin means constantly facing your limits and overcoming them. As an association, we want to promote this mentality on and off the Dojo floor." – Senpai Anh Son Le

Thanks to all our companions

This step would not have been possible without the commitment and support of many people. Special thanks go to:

  • Senpai Harald Zühlsdorf
  • Sebastian Lehmann
  • Sven Lo
  • Leon Schwahn
  • Salvatore D’Agatha

And on this special day to Anna Schneider, our future treasurer, who was present at the signing and shared this moment with us.

A look into the future

With the registration as an e.V., an exciting future lies ahead for Shinzen Dojo Berlin. Association status is not the goal, but the foundation for everything that is to come: more training opportunities, stronger community projects and the promotion of Kyokushin Karate throughout Berlin.

"Shinzen means friendship – and that is exactly our foundation. Together we will carry on the spirit of Kyokushin." – Senpai Anh Son Le
