Shinzen Dojo Berlin at the Brandenburg Cup 2026 in Hennigsdorf

Am Saturday, den 14. March 2026, nimmt das Shinzen Dojo Berlin am Brandenburg Cup 2026 teil. Das Kyokushin Turnier findet in der Stadtsporthalle (Motorhalle), Spandauer Allee 12, 16761 Hennigsdorf statt und wird vom Kyokushinkai Karate Club Hennigsdorf e.V. ausgerichtet. Veranstalter ist die Deutsche Kyokushinkai Organisation (DKO).

For us as a Berlin dojo, the tournament is almost a home game. Many members, parents, and friends from our community have the opportunity to support our fighters live and to experience genuine Kyokushin competition karate.

The Brandenburg Cup has been one of the well-known Kyokushin tournaments in Germany for years. Dojos from various cities and associations meet here to compete in Kata and Kumite. Especially for young karateka, it is an important experience to start in front of judges and an audience for the first time.

Mewes is competing in the Master class for men over 40 years over 80 kg. Experienced karateka from various dojos fight in this category. After intensive preparation, he wants to prove himself there and has a clear goal: to bring the trophy back to Berlin.

Support from our dojo

Shinzen Dojo Berlin will also be represented away from the fights.

Lennart will be deployed as a corner judge for the second time. In the Japanese terminology of Kyokushin Karate, this position is called Fukushin. The task is to support the head judge with flag signals and to indicate possible strikes or decisions.

Categories with participation from Shinzen Dojo Berlin

Our fighters are competing in the following categories, among others:

  • Kata children 6 to 10 years
  • Kumite boys 10 to 11 years 35 to 40 kg
  • Kumite girls 10 to 11 years over 45 kg
  • Juneor men over 80 kg
  • Master men over 40 years over 80 kg

In these categories, our students will meet karateka from various Kyokushin dojos from Germany.

Invitation to our members and parents

The Brandenburg Cup is a very good opportunity to experience Kyokushin Karate in competition. It is especially motivating for our younger members to see how other karateka fight, present Kata, and prove themselves on the mat.

Since the tournament takes place only a few kilometres away from Berlin, a short visit to Hennigsdorf is well worth it.

Worte von Sensei Son

"We are looking forward to the annual Brandenburg Cup and are excited to see exciting fights from our students."
