Annual Review 2023 – A year full of successes and community at Shinzen Dojo Berlin

Berlin.

  • March: 1st Little Fighters Tournament in Karlskron March began with a bang when our fighters took part in the 1st Little Fighters Tournament in Karlskron and were able to triumph in the kata category. A wonderful start to the competition year!
  • April: Visit to Japan Eine besondere Ehre war es, als Senpai Son und Schüler Yusuf das legendäre Honbu Dojo von Sosai Mas Oyama in Japan besuchten. Dort nahmen sie am ersten World Zen-Kyokushin exchange seminar and Senpai Son successfully completed his examination for the 2nd Dan.
  • May: Brandenburg Cup and examinations In May, our fighters shone at the Brandenburg Cup with several winners from our dojo. In addition, successful examinations for children and teenagers took place, who proved their skills on Mother's Day.
  • September: 1. IKO World Zen-Kyokushin Europe Seminar Another milestone was the 1st IKO World Zen-Kyokushin Europe Seminar with Saiko Shihan Roel Wildeboer. Sempai Marco Krüper, Sempai Choijantsan Bayarkhuu and Sempai Harald Zühlsdorf attained their 1st Dan here.
  • October: Triumph at the Bavarian Open Khalid Aljabari secured 1st place in the junior lightweight category at the 18th Bavarian Open – a great success for him and the dojo.
  • November: 34th German DKO Championship Our participation in the 34th German DKO Championship of the DKO showed once again the fighting spirit and high level of our dojo.

These successes are only possible through the dedication, training and cohesion of our members. As Sosai Mas Oyama sagte:

“The most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the fight; the essential thing is not to have won, but to have fought well.”

These words reflect the values and goals that unite our community at Shinzen Dojo Berlin.

We look forward to another year full of successes and communal progress in the spirit of Kyokushin Karate with you at Shinzen Dojo Berlin.

Osu!
