A Day of Community and Learning: Kyu Examination at Shinzen Dojo

Berlin. On 09.12.2023, the Kyu examination took place for the first time at the Gerhard-Schlegel Sports School with children, teenagers, and adults.

Growing Together: The Kyu Examination at Shinzen Dojo

The Kyu examination at Shinzen Dojo was more than just an assessment of technical skills; it was a demonstration of the spirit and philosophy of Kyokushin Karate.

Sosai Mas Oyama, der Gründer von Kyokushin Karate, sagte einst:

"The true martial artist is the one who can triumph in times of extreme challenge."

This quote was reflected in the dedication and perseverance of the participants who faced the challenges of the examination.

Senpai Son Le emphasised the importance of this examination for personal growth:

"Kyokushin is more than just a martial art; it is a philosophy of life. Every examination is an opportunity to sharpen not only our skills but also our character."

The highlight of the day was the impressive performance of the karatekas, both those who passed their examination and those who were not successful this time. In the words of Senpai Son Le:

"Success and failure are both teachers. Today, everyone who participated has learned something valuable."

Gratitude and Recognition: A Strong Foundation for the Future

The day ended with a feeling of pride and community. We would like to thank everyone involved: the karatekas who stepped up with courage and determination, the experienced Senpais who shared their support and wisdom, and the families and friends who support us unceasingly.

The community of the Shinzen Dojo was reflected for the first time in the group photo:

This day at Shinzen Dojo was a true example of how Kyokushin Karate not only shapes martial artists but also builds strong communities.

We look forward to many more such days full of learning, growth, and community.
