Before the Christmas break: How the final training went

Berlin-Steglitz. Das Kinder- und Jugend-Abschlusstraining des Shinzen Dojos ist beendet. Die beiden Sempais des Dojos unterrichten with Elan and Fokus die kleinen Karatekas des Shinzen Dojos im letzten Anfänger- sowie Fortgeschrittenen-Kurs der Kinder.

Even in the last two courses, it is again clear what role our instructors have here at the Shinzen Dojo

  • Basic motor movements
  • Fundamental understanding of karate
  • Self-confidence and self-defence
  • Persönlichkeitsentwicklung durch authentisches Kyokushin Karate
  • Philosophy der ostasiatischen Kampfkunst

We strive to teach and pass on this knowledge to the children piece by piece.

Sempai Son expresses this as follows:

We are proud and grateful that we have made it through the difficult year during the pandemic together with the children and parents.

Only through the willingness of the parents to be flexible, cooperative and disciplined in adhering to the Corona and hygiene measures were we able to maintain training operations with the children in Berlin-Steglitz.

At this point once again: We thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ for this.

Let us also approach the new challenges in the new year with courage, sound judgement and reason.

Have a beautiful, peaceful Christmas and a healthy holiday season 🎄 with your families, friends and acquaintances.

Stay healthy.

IFK German Open 2026: A first competition that remains in memory Black belt

A white belt, his first tournament and straight away an experienced black belt as an opponent: For Victory Ogbonna, the IFK German Open 2026 became a special experience. In Naunhof, the 27-year-old from Shinzen Dojo Berlin competed for the first time in the Kumite +90 kg category. After regular fight time and extra time, he lost by Waza-ari, but showed fighting spirit and got back up after a hard head strike. A first competition, an important experience – and definitely not the last.
