Note and checklist for all students of Shinzen Dojo Berlin
Liebe Kyokushin Karatekas,
our dojo is a place of training, discipline, and mutual respect. To maintain this, it is important that we all take responsibility and follow these rules. They serve not only for cleanliness but also as a sign of appreciation towards our training location and the people who make this space possible for us.
1. Air out the room after training
After training, please open the windows for a few minutes so that fresh air flows into the room. This ensures a pleasant climate and keeps the dojo hygienic.
2. Return pads and equipment neatly to the shelf
Equipment such as pads or other training aids must be returned neatly to the designated shelves after training – please do not just throw them in. Diligence shows respect for the materials and facilitates the next training session. This task is a collective one: everyone helps out, not just a few!
3. Shower and change quickly
After training, we ask you to use the changing room quickly. We all want to get home as soon as possible, as many of us have to go to work early the next day. Efficiency and consideration in the changing room help us all.
4. Vacuuming – a shared responsibility
The cleanliness of the dojo is a joint task. After every training session, the training room should be vacuumed. Please coordinate internally who is responsible so that this task is distributed fairly. Everyone should participate in leaving the dojo in a clean condition.
5. Close all windows
Before you leave the dojo, ensure that all windows are closed – in the training room, the changing room, and the toilet. This is essential, especially in bad weather, to protect the dojo and the equipment.
6. Keep the entrance area clean
Our entrance area is not only the first impression of our dojo, but also that of the Aikido Tomosei Dojo, whose rooms we are allowed to use as subtenants. We bear a special responsibility to keep this area clean, remove dirt immediately, and dispose of empty bottles. Show respect and gratitude for the opportunity to train here.
7. Do not forget personal belongings
Before leaving the dojo: Please check that you haven't forgotten anything. Phones, wallets, keys, and other items should not be left behind. This saves you and all of us extra trouble.
Why these rules are important:
The dojo is a special place that is only maintained through our discipline and respect. Our behavior shows that we not only train Kyokushin Karate but also live its values. Let us show gratitude to those who make this space possible for us and contribute together to maintaining it.
Many thanks for your help and mindfulness!
Osu!
