An Unforgettable Experience: Shinzen Dojo Berlin at the 2nd All Japan Championship
Japan. On the day of the tournament, the team from Shinzen Dojo Berlin was warmly welcomed by the Japanese organisation in front of the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza hall. An exciting day where our team was able to immerse itself deep into the world of Kyokushinkaikan.

Warm welcome and exciting fights
Right at the beginning of the day came the introduction of the Japanese Branch Chiefs, all pioneers of Kyokushinkaikan from the very beginning.

Under the leadership of Soshi Kazuyuki Hasegawa, 9th Dan holder and association president, we experienced an impressive gathering of legendary fighters.
Our fighter Yusuf El-Madani faced the strong Japanese fighter Tsubasa Seki in the first round, who had both a height and weight advantage. Despite a courageous start and steadfast resistance, Yusuf had to accept defeat after an intense two minutes following a clear referee decision.

Challenges and learning experiences
An unforgettable experience: Shinzen Dojo Berlin at the 2nd All Japan Championship. The tournament showed that the Japanese fighters dominated in all categories, which underlined their superior preparation and technique.
Despite the losses, this was a valuable experience for our team that shows where we can improve.

Cultural exchange and closing festivities
A special highlight was the traditional Sayonara party at the end of the tournament day. It was a fantastic opportunity for the team to connect with other fighters, laugh together and exchange experiences.
Black belt examination - A sign of strength and perseverance
The following day, the black belt examination took place at the legendary Honbu Dojo. Our Senpais, Son Le (2nd Dan) and Paul Kniep (1st Dan), were on site as supporters and witnessed examinations of the highest level. Participants from different countries faced the challenge of passing high katas and multi-hour kumite rounds, which they mastered with flying colours.

Gratitude and outlook
We are infinitely grateful for the experiences and the hospitality extended to us by the organisers, especially Shihan Shigeo Niitsu from Tokyo/Hachioji, Shihan Norihito Yoneyama from Hyogo and Shihan Takuma Kouketsu.

A special thank you also goes to our association president Soshi Kazuyuki Hasegawa for making this unique encounter possible.

Conclusion
We look forward to putting what we have learned into practice and coming back even stronger next time.
OSU!
