The legacy of Sosai Mas Oyama: Kyokushin Karate and its impact on our lives

“One becomes a beginner after one thousand days of training and an expert after ten thousand days of practice.” – Sosai Mas Oyama

Kyokushin Karate: A Way of Life

Discipline and Perseverance

Kyokushin Karate teaches us discipline and perseverance. The rigorous training methods and high standards require a great deal of self-control and commitment. These skills are not only useful in the dojo, but also in many aspects of daily life, including the professional environment.

“True karate is this: that in daily life one's mind and body be trained and developed in a spirit of humility.” – Sosai Mas Oyama

Respect and Community

Another central aspect of Kyokushin Karate is respect – for oneself, for others, and for the art of karate. This attitude of respect fosters a strong community in which everyone supports and inspires one another.

At Shinzen Dojo Berlin, under the leadership of Senpai Son, this sense of community is actively lived out. You learn not only the technical skills of karate here, but also the importance of cohesion and mutual support.

Kyokushin Karate in Professional Life

The principles of Kyokushin Karate can be excellently applied to professional life. Discipline, perseverance, and respect are key qualifications required in every professional field. Many people who practise Kyokushin Karate report improved stress management skills, increased concentration, and stronger mental resilience.

“The heart of our karate is real fighting. There can be no proof without real fighting.” – Sosai Mas Oyama

Shinzen Dojo Berlin: Passing on the Teachings of Sosai Oyama

At Shinzen Dojo Berlin, Senpai Son has made it his mission to preserve and pass on the teachings of Sosai Mas Oyama. Through consistent training and the transmission of the core values of Kyokushin, we contribute to ensuring that this powerful philosophy continues to inspire and strengthen people.

The legacy of Sosai Mas Oyama: Kyokushin Karate and its impact on our lives

On this day, 27 July 2024, we would especially like to honour the life and legacy of Sosai Mas Oyama. His influence extends far beyond the walls of the dojo and touches the lives of many people all over the world. Kyokushin Karate has the power to change your life positively by giving you the tools to be successful both in the dojo and in daily life.

At Shinzen Dojo Berlin, we are committed to preserving and passing on these valuable teachings. Together, we honour Sosai Mas Oyama by living and spreading his philosophy of the tireless pursuit of excellence and inner strength.
