Gratitude and the principle of Shu Ha Ri
We thank Shihan Yoshihiko Nakahata from the bottom of our hearts for his inspiring training session and his wisdom.
The principle of Shu Ha Ri describes the path of learning in traditional karate:
- Shu (Protect): Respect and preserve the rules and traditions of the teacher.
- Ha (Break): Develop one's own understanding and try out new things.
- Ri (Leave): Further develop one's own skills and interpret the tradition individually.
In Shinzen Dojo Berlin we live this principle by honoring the tradition of Kyokushin Karate , integrating new impulses and supporting every student on their individual path.
