Bavarian Open 2025 – Lennart Kant wins in the youth/novice division up to 80 kg

A successful day for the Shinzen Dojo Berlin: At the Bavarian Open 2025 in Baar-Ebenhausen, Lennart Kant secured 1st place in the men's youth/novice class up to 80 kilograms.

In a three-man pool, where everyone had to compete against everyone else, Lennart showed strong nerves and clear technique.

In the first fight, Lennart prevailed with two clear Wazari strikes. Precise strikes, controlled distance, and a clear mind ensured a sovereign victory. After a short break and five other encounters on the tournament schedule, his second and final fight followed – the 21st fight of the day.

There, Lennart decided everything with an Ippon via Shita Tsuki, a powerful punch to the body that ended the fight immediately.

"I felt good and respected," Lennart describes his day.

"My opponents were young and motivated, the pain was palpable, but I knew what to do."

He was supported by Andy and Senpai Son, who accompanied him on and off the tatami.

"It is always nice to meet our Kyokushin friends from Bavaria who make this tournament possible with so much heart and soul,"

said Senpai Son after the competition.

Special thanks go to the IKKA Baar-Ebenhausen, the All-German Kyokushin Union, Shihan Georg Otzelberger, and everyone involved for the excellent organization and the respectful proceedings.

A small but intense competition – and a well-deserved victory for Lennart Kant.

OSU.
