Important announcement for all parents and members of Shinzen Dojo Berlin

No children's karate classes on 11 November 2023

Dear parents and guardians,

we would like to inform you that on Saturday, 11.11.2023, a special event is taking place that will affect our regular children's karate classes.

On this day, the 34th German Championship of the Deutsche Kyokushinkai Organisation (DKO) is being held. Therefore, all children's karate classes at Shinzen Dojo will exceptionally not take place.

We understand that this is a change to our usual routine and ask for your understanding regarding this decision. Such championships offer our students the chance to experience the spirit of Kyokushinkai Karate and to network with the karate community.

Invitation to the German Championship

Instead of the regular classes, we warmly invite you and your children to attend the German Championship at the Wilhelm-von-Siemens Gymnasium (Allee der Kosmonauten 134, 12683 Berlin).

Admission begins at 8:00 am and the first fights of the children's categories start from 10:00 am.

Use the opportunity to promote the sporting spirit and to cheer on our young fighters. Entry is free of charge, and your support would not only thrill the participants, but also underline the importance of community and support in our dojo.

Come and support our dojo

We hope that you see this day as a chance to observe and celebrate the skill and dedication of our young karatekas. Your support and cheering are of immeasurable value to them.

We look forward to seeing you at the championship and experiencing a day full of fighting spirit and sporting excellence together.

With sporty greetings,

Your Shinzen Dojo Berlin

OSU!

IFK German Open 2026: A first competition that remains in memory Black belt

A white belt, his first tournament and straight away an experienced black belt as an opponent: For Victory Ogbonna, the IFK German Open 2026 became a special experience. In Naunhof, the 27-year-old from Shinzen Dojo Berlin competed for the first time in the Kumite +90 kg category. After regular fight time and extra time, he lost by Waza-ari, but showed fighting spirit and got back up after a hard head strike. A first competition, an important experience – and definitely not the last.
